Purposes and legal bases
We use correspondence to answer enquiries, evaluate corrections, process rights requests and protect our legal interests. Depending on location, these activities rely on consent, steps taken at your request, legitimate interests or compliance with law.
Sharing and international processing
Data may be handled by hosting, email, security and professional-service providers under contract, or disclosed where law requires. A developer must name the actual production providers and transfer safeguards before launch.
Retention
Routine editorial correspondence is retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact. Rights, legal or correction records may be retained longer where necessary to demonstrate compliance and publication history. Hosting logs should be configured for the shortest practical security period.
