Editorial policy
Our standard is traceable work.
Effective 24 August 2026. This policy governs every article, guide, illustration and commercial label published by Phoenix Archive.
1. Independence
Editorial topics, framing and conclusions are controlled by the Phoenix Archive Editorial Standards Desk. An advertiser, sponsor, platform or source may not approve or suppress editorial conclusions.
2. Research and verification
We prefer primary texts, museum collection records, peer-reviewed scholarship and named cultural institutions. Articles distinguish source evidence from modern interpretation. Cross-cultural comparison must describe differences in language, date and ritual context rather than claim that visually similar figures are identical.
3. Bylines and responsibility
Our current articles use real institutional desks rather than fictional personal authors. Each story identifies the writing desk, reviewing desk, date and sources. Future named contributors must use their real identity and disclose relevant expertise and conflicts.
4. Games and creative works
Coverage of games, books and art is critical cultural analysis, not product endorsement. We describe mechanics accurately, avoid unverified claims and do not publish disguised commercial landing pages.
5. Advertising and affiliate relationships
Paid material must be labelled “Advertisement” or “Sponsored” before its headline. Affiliate links, if introduced, must carry a nearby disclosure and may not alter editorial conclusions or access. At the effective date, the site carries no paid placements and uses no affiliate links.
6. Corrections
Factual errors are corrected promptly. A material correction includes a note stating what changed and when. Silent edits are limited to spelling, formatting and clarity changes that do not alter meaning. Send evidence to phoenixarchive.editorial.team@gmail.com with “Source correction” in the subject.
7. Images and rights
Commissioned and generated illustrations must be original, identified by function and reviewed for misleading elements. Museum or third-party images are used only with an appropriate licence or permission. The supplied visual reference was used solely to establish a fire-and-gold colour direction; its interface and promotional message are not part of this publication.
8. Review cycle
Evergreen articles receive a source and link review at least once every 12 months, or sooner when a credible correction arrives. This policy was last reviewed on 24 August 2026.
